About the event
What does rehabilitation look like when it takes place in people’s homes and communities?
“Voices from Japanese Practitioners” series, a webinar series that brings the experiences, innovations, and perspectives of Japanese care professionals to a global audience.
Each session features a practitioner working on the frontlines of care and community support in Japan, offering practical insights and lessons that can inspire care systems around the world.
In this first session, we welcome Akihiro Ito, CEO of MEDI-TRAIN Co., Ltd., Physical Therapist, and Certified Athletic Trainer of the Japan Sports Association.
Drawing on his experience in home visit rehabilitation, Mr. Ito will explore how physical therapists support people in maintaining independence and quality of life within their own homes and communities. Through real-world examples, he will discuss approaches to improving Activities of Daily Living (ADL), exercise therapy for maintaining and enhancing mobility and physical function, and environmental adaptations that help people live safely and meaningfully at home.
Whether you are a healthcare professional, care provider, researcher, policymaker, student, or simply interested in community-based care, this webinar offers a valuable opportunity to learn directly from a practitioner working in Japan’s evolving care landscape.
